Unplugging your powercords to save $$$

I was watching Oprah just now, she's was talking about many ways on how to save money. I thought one method really stood out the most, and it's not your typical ways to save - cook at home, swap things, or make your own presents. One of the guests actually use a method from unplugging all the electrical plugs when you aren't using - your television, microwave, and etc!

Her monthly bill was usually $260 approximately, and now when she unplugs all the outlets she don't need, and it is $60 on the new month, unbelievable!

For sure, I'll try it. Even though my electricity bill is only $16 a month, I bet I can get it down to $6 if I follow what she does!

Enjoy this!

Coupons Online

Instead of waiting for coupons to come in the mail, why not search for coupons online? Sometime you can always find coupon codes and you can get from 5% to 10% off on deals. For example, instead of paying $30 for oil change, I went online and search for Ezlube coupon on their website, and it saved me $10 just by simply printing a coupon out! How easy is that?

Here are some of the useful sites that I would find deals, I hope this will help you!

Clam Oreganata Recipe

I got this recipe from FoodTv, and I came to love this recipe because it's extremely healthy and easy to make. I made it as a Thanksgiving appetizer and they were very very popular. This picture was not very well taken, and the yellowness from the salt is just simply drizzle olive oil, no worries on that. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup plain dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
12 shucked Manilla clams, shells reserved
Coarse salt, for lining baking sheet
Preheat oven to broil.

In a large bowl gently toss bread crumbs, herbs, olive oil, salt and pepper. Be careful not to overwork the mixture. Set aside.

Line a baking sheet with salt and arrange 12 clam shells. Put 1 clam in each shell and top with 2 tablespoons of the bread crumb mixture. Drizzle with olive oil. Broil 2 to 3 minutes.
